Checkout requirements: a current certificate and medical, a logbook review, and a checkout flight with one of our instructors — typically one to two flights depending on aircraft and recency. High-performance and complex aircraft require the matching endorsement (we teach those too). Renters get the same 9am–9pm, 7-day scheduling as students.
Why here

Why certificated pilots keep their flying here

Availability is the whole game in aircraft rental. A club with two airplanes and fifty members is a waiting list, not a flying club. Our fleet depth — six types across the ramp — means weekend mornings are bookable and a plane in maintenance doesn't ground your plans.

The maintenance is done in-house and the airplanes work for a living, which means squawks get fixed now, not eventually. And because we're a working school, there's always an instructor around for a flight review, an instrument proficiency check, or the complex and high-performance endorsements that open the Arrow and the Cirrus.

Van Nuys itself is the bonus: two parallel runways, a GA-dedicated tower, and the whole of Southern California within an hour — Camarillo for lunch, Catalina for the halibut, Big Bear for the mountain checkout you've been meaning to do.
