PPL cost questions
Yes — if you train consistently and come prepared, the Standard program is built around FAA-minimum hours. Most students should budget for the $15,900 Comprehensive program, which reflects realistic averages. We would rather tell you that up front.
The FAA minimum is 40 flight hours; the national average is 55 to 70. Training two to three times per week keeps most students close to the minimum.
